Water Filtration Media includes a range of specially engineered granular materials used to remove suspended solids, turbidity, color, odor, and other impurities from water. These media form the core of filtration systems in municipal, industrial, and commercial water treatment plants, ensuring consistent water clarity and system performance.

Pressure sand filter media typically consists of graded silica sand (and sometimes additional layers like gravel or pebbles) that create a porous bed inside the filter. As water flows through this fixed media under pressure, particles are physically trapped between grains, producing clearer water output.

How It Works

• Water enters the filter vessel and flows downward through the media bed.

• Suspended solids and turbidity are captured within the interstices of the sand grains.

• Clean water is collected from the bottom of the filter and discharged for use.

• Periodic backwashing (reverse flow) cleans the media by flushing out trapped solids.
